GPO • Controller Support Update — May 17, 2026
SYSTEMS / QOL
[NEW] Controller Support — Added controller support to the main game. Gamepad players can now use controller input, prompts, and UI navigation.
Initial rollout — some menus and actions will continue receiving improvements in future updates.
Recommended: enable the virtual controller cursor to navigate UI.
Arena — Players can now press reset when at 25% HP or below while in combat.
Counters opponents stalling at low HP.
Disabled in Battle Royale.
Boss HP Bars — Boss HP bars now stack multiple bars.
Crew Actions — Crew actions now properly respect combat state (e.g. can no longer leave crew mid-combat).
Flag Capture — Logging out from a safe area while a crewmate pushes enemies off the capture point now results in an infamy loss.
Fruit Despawn — Fruits with Rare rarity or below now despawn 10 minutes after being dropped to help reduce server lag caused by fruit farming (e.g. Factory raids).
Idle Performance — Optimized idle performance for mobile and low-end devices.
Infamy — Can no longer lose infamy in private servers from being gripped.
Inventory UI — Optimized inventory UI performance. Players with large inventories should notice fewer FPS drops when opening inventory.
NPC Performance — NPCs have been optimized by 60-70%, resulting in significantly fewer ping spikes when there are large numbers of active NPCs in the server.
Ocean Movement Setting — Added a setting to disable ocean movement (helps with FPS).
